"You'll laugh again! You'll cry again!! You'll hurl again!!!"
The ghost of Jim Morrison forces Wayne to organize a concert. He gets the help of Garth but they don't really know how to get big bands but they get the advice: if you book them they will come. Wayne's girlfriend's manager tries to get her to LA away from Wayne, when this happens Wayne must try everything to get her back. He has to leave the concert for that.

The script is less alive and the jokes aren't as funny as in part one, but Wayne and Garth remain a very enjoyable 90's duo. Party on, dude! I actually like a third part with an older Wayne and Garth, but whether the current generation is waiting for it... I don't think so.

So very, very occasionally there is a film that has a '2' in the title and is not inferior to the film without a number. This is such a rare example - because, while Wayne's World can take advantage of the fresh and new from Wayne and Garth and their idiocy quite easily, this second installment has a little more to prove. And that works well - and not in the least because of the fairly heavy interpretation of a whole series of supporting roles. And then a huge laundry list of more or less famous actors is added for one cameo after another. Great job. In the full speed of the idiocy there are again some very funny stitches to other film(genres) - especially the thing with Cassandra's dad really made me faint again. Nice role by James Hong by the way. Aerosmith may be a bit weak after Alice Cooper, but that could also be a matter of taste. In any case, the hard core of the crew is present again - without Myers, Carver and Carrere nothing really would have come of it I think.

A comedy sequel, a year after a very big hit; then you often know what to expect. And Wayne's World 2 is in many ways a repeat of the first film. Only Rob Lowe has been replaced by Christopher Walken and Aerosmith takes over from Alice Cooper. The rest basically remains the same; Mike Myers tries again for an hour and a half to be funny, while the small supporting roles are much more comical and Myers regularly gets annoying. Some jokes are worth a big smile and even the adolescent nonsense sometimes has its charm, but many jokes are just a bit too infantile.
