Heaven collapses for Franzi Schwanthaler. She is a single mother and works at a bakery in a Bavarian village. Now there is a branch of a large international bakery chain that lures its customers away with dumping prices. Her boss and father die of a heart attack of grief, forcing her older sister from Berlin to constantly shower her with good advice. Franzi must go to town in search of new resources to compete and bring down crippling bank debt. Out of necessity, she develops an absurd idea and tries to defeat the enemy with his own magic word: globalization.
