Amusing.

Strongly reminiscent of The Sitter by Green, apart from maybe the first 10 minutes, which seem to aspire to a somewhat brave version of Anchorman. When Banks embarks on her fatal trip, little is left of it.

Too bad Banks herself isn't too funny, the humor mainly comes from the people around her and the situations she finds herself in. Of course it goes from bad to worse and it will be okay in the end - as in the "be yourself and proud of yourself" moral) but that is of course part of these kinds of movies.

Brill is doing quite okay, never really been a fan of his, also thought he was the least director of the Sandler stable, but here he manages to cope better. It is not a real high flyer in the end, but it is smooth entertainment that does not last too long and smoothly dances through all the clichés.

3.0*

phew what a horrible movie. Well, let me be a little more clear: What a scum!

The recipe:

We put a hot blonde in a short yellow skirt, send her down the street and make everyone who meets her think she's a whore. The first time such a predictable joke that results from this is still fun. But then we just repeat the same joke with some other characters. Yay good idea!! That way we can fill up to 90 minutes.

We were therefore shocked when they suddenly managed to make two successful and original jokes in the last 5 minutes of the film.

90 minutes of my life that I can't get back.

1.5*... because I could do 1* or less alone if I dropped it off.

I thought this was quite a nice light-hearted snack with a nice lead role by Elizabeth Banks.

Frankly, I thought the opening was terribly bad (I was even on the point of not looking any further) but once Elizabeth Banks' quest begins, it becomes quite a fun film with lots of fun comic situations in which she always unconsciously ends up. It is also funny how she always comes out and how misunderstandings always arise. The performance is also nice and there is enough to laugh and smile. Elizabeth Banks wears this whole movie and honestly she did it well and nice and of course she also looked very nice in the yellow dress. The ending may be bland and also quite cliche, but to be honest, I thought it suited this film well.

In short, just a nice snack that looks away and that there is enough to enjoy (mainly of course from Elizabeth Banks ).
