Eric Loudermilk Potts misses his own wedding because of his deep obsession with fire trucks. His fiancé Mae breaks up with him and then, at her father's insistence, marries Wilber Slemons. But Eric's butler Simmons is determined to give true love a helping hand. He arranges a chance for Eric to ruin the wedding, hoping to win Mae back.
