The people of France are tired of paying the inhumane taxes collected from the king's musketeers. This king is also a lecherous man who often engages in parties and does not care about the situation at court. The queen has the court jester as a lover and, together with the ministers, plots against him. But their assassination attempts fail due to the accidental actions of the mysterious White Knight, an operetta character, who is only out to win the charms of Lucienne, the Queen's niece.
