Vive la Mariée... et la Libération du Kurdistan plot
Cheto, a young Kurdish militant, lives as a political refugee in Paris. He is in a relationship with Christine, a French woman. One day he decides to get married. As a woman he wants a young, beautiful Kurdish, from a patriotic family. And of course she must still be a virgin! On a videotape of potential suitors, Cheto notices the woman of his dreams, the case is settled and Cheto and his friends go to pick up his future at the airport in a pink convertible. But the Kurdish tradition wants the eldest daughter to marry first. And instead of the beautiful young chosen one, it is the round, little refined and traditionally dressed Mina, the eldest sister, who was put on a plane to marry Cheto. Suddenly he seems much less inclined to take the step.
