Viel Lärm um Nichts plot

Returning from the battlefield victorious, Don Pedro and his companion gladly accept Governor Leonato's invitation to spend a month in Messina. The cry of love calls for the Florentine Count Claudio, who is part of Don Pedro's retinue, because he has fallen in love with Hero, Leonato's daughter. The love affair is sealed at a masquerade ball. Inflamed by the ecstasy of love, the beautiful but venomous Beatrice, who doesn't really like men much, and Benedikt, Claudio's friend and convinced bachelor, have also found each other. Nothing and no one stands in the way of a double marriage, except Don Juan, Don Pedro's envious half-brother.
