"Runs Like a Deere"

Young Clare Day is sent by her parents to live with her eccentric uncle Joe Butterworth, so that she can spend less time with the self-proclaimed artist Paul Darcey. Uncle Joe owns a simple farm in the countryside, equipped with all sorts of 'handy' inventions of his own making. There she meets four boys from her childhood and the nice Julia Jordan, who is having financial problems and is in danger of losing her house. A limerick competition seems to offer a solution. But then it has to be won...
