Un Gosse de la Butte plot

The beautiful widow Hélène runs a grocery and liquor store on Ménilmontant and lives with her ten-year-old son Alain. Hélène meets Vincent, a dark-skinned young man, and falls in love with him. But as soon as Alain comes into contact with Vincent, he hates him. However, Vincent manages - thanks to his kindness and understanding - to turn the boy's dislike into sympathy and let him discover a new world.
