The Young Swingers plot

"It's a Hootenanny!"

Singer Mel Hudson tries to keep his nightclub up and running, despite attempts by wealthy Roberta Crawford to take over. Roberta visits the club with her niece Vicki. Vicki sees something in Mel and she decides to help him against the persistent pressure from Aunt Roberta. Then the nightclub mysteriously burns down and the suspicions naturally go to Roberta.
