The Wife plot
One winter evening, a married couple of psychotherapists are visited by a husband's patient, a quirky little man who is married to a vulgar former showgirl. As the patient talks about the problems with his wife in increasingly humiliating and hateful terms, it becomes clear that the therapists (New Age types who pray over miniature pyramids and argue about their "chakras") are even more unstable emotionally.
