The Understudy plot

"Dying for stardom... she found a role to kill for."

Rebecca has been trying to get a job as an actress for a long time, but it just doesn't work. It is no different with her roommate, the script writer Sarfras. Her Calvinist and wealthy family, consisting mainly of lawyers, senators and judges, cannot stand her lifestyle; her job consists of taking care of a blind, diabetic woman while she moves from one relationship to another. But she gets the chance to become the duplication of a big movie star. Will her luck finally turn for the better?
