The Truth about Women plot

Aging diplomat Sir Humphrey Tavistock discusses his past romances with a friend who is having marital problems. A British woman with progressive views on marriage, a harem lady in some made-up country next to Turkey, a married Parisian, an American looking for a grandiose title to attach to her name, another British woman who encounters Tavistock in a lift, and a Swedish nurse from a loveless marriage. The stories largely touch on somewhat feminist issues about what women should and shouldn't settle for in relationships.
