The Tip-Off plot

"This is station L-O-V-E"

Tommy Jordan, a radio repairman, makes a house call and becomes the focus of flirty Baby Face, boxer Kayo McClure's girlfriend. Tommy fends her off, but then falls in love with the even more dangerous Edna Merino, the lover of Kayo's manager, mobster Nick Vatelli. When Edna tells Tommy that she wants to escape Nick, he helps her get away, causing the mobster to take revenge on the couple.
