The Sporting Club plot
"The trout season begins in May. The deer season begins in September. Today it's open season for people!"
The Centennial Club is a paradise for wealthy people to escape from their working lives and the underclass. The very select membership is limited to those who are bred to rule. When the club's current members gather for the 100th anniversary celebration, one of the younger men, Vernur, decides it's time to turn everything upside down. He plans to destroy the club from within. He fires the old maintenance man and hires the rebellious Earl as his replacement. The latter soon becomes embroiled in a war with the elite.
