The Skateboard Kid plot

"Why take the road when you can fly?"

After his mother's death, Zach's moves to the small town of Millcreek, where Dad gets a job at a local television station. The neighborhood is terrorized by a group of youths on skateboards. Zach has a skateboard of his own, but it's hard for him to show it. Lacking money, he decides to refurbish an old skateboard that once belonged to a magician. During a stormy night, the skateboard comes to life. It gives him advice and sarcastic remarks.
