The Purple Highway plot

Two prisoners and a cleaning lady at a home for struggling artists achieve success and fame when they combine their talents to produce a hit Broadway musical. Edgar, the playwright, is in love with April, the former leading lady, but she doesn't discover she loves him until it's almost too late.
