The Most Fertile Man in Ireland plot

"The most fertile man in Ireland is in serious demand"

Eamonn, a 24-year-old virgin, lives in Belfast with his mother during the Troubles. Local girl Mary Mallory decides that since she's probably slept with every guy in town, Eamonn should be next on her list. He turns out to be quite a catch; Mary gets pregnant, even though she took precautions. A doctor discovers that Eamonn has a very high sperm count in his semen. With the birth rate plummeting across Northern Ireland, Millicent decides to rent out Eamonn to women whose husbands can't deliver. This is with the blessing of the local Catholic Church, which considers it morally better than artificial insemination.
