The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo plot
"A million to one you clean up!"
Paul Gallard, an exiled, impoverished Russian aristocrat who makes his money as a taxi driver in Paris, causes a sensation in Monte Carlo by winning 10 million francs by luck in baccarat. He takes the money he wins with him in a suitcase and distributes it among his fellow exiled compatriots. However, the Monte Carlo sports club wants to do everything in its power to get Gallard back at the baccarat table, hoping to win back the lost money. The attractive Helen Berkeley is deviously used to achieve this.
