The Impostors plot
"Why be yourself when you can be somebody else?"
Maurice and Arthur are two actors in the American depression years. Nobody sees anything in their Laurel & Hardy-esque act. There is therefore frustration in the insults that Maurice utters at Shakespeare actor Burtom. After fleeing from Burtom, the couple unexpectedly finds themselves on a luxury cruise ship, where Burtom is also. Here are complications and dressing up involving a Nazi flight attendant, a queen-in-exile, a helpful flight attendant, a bombshell, an overlibidden gay ex-tennis player, a suicidal lounge singer, and lots and lots of hallways and doors.
