The Gilded Lily plot
"It Happened One Night On a Park Bench!"
New York stenographer Marilyn meets Englishman Charles Gray and they fall in love. But Charles leaves town and Marilyn discovers that he is the son of a duke and that he is already about to be married off to someone else. Marilyn relies on her platonic friend, the reporter Father Dawes, who publishes an article entitled "The No Girl" that the nobility refused. For example, Marilyn takes advantage of her unexpected celebrity to work in a café as an entertainer, an unexpected path, but she succeeds with flying colors. But can she now decide which of her two loves to choose?
