The Farmer's Daughter plot

Broadway producer Nickie North and his press agent Scoop Trimble find a new financier for a show, but on the condition that rehearsals take place outside the city and that Clarice Sheldon, a star who has not been popular for a long time, gets the lead role. North and Trimble manage the Bingham farm, but don't realize the danger they are in; Patience Bingham, the farmer's daughter. She falls in love with one of the protagonists, Dennis Crane, who had to keep the temperamental Sheldon in line. Meanwhile, writer Victor Walsh is desperately looking for a good idea for the script.
