A colony of magicians, puppeteers, fire eaters and other artists reside in a neighborhood of New Delhi. Among them also Aja, who already showed an exceptional talent as a child. He is a 'fakir', who can float, swallow sabers and he is equipped with a series of tricks, which he masters to perfection. He also performs miraculous healings. But when his mother gives him a plane ticket to Paris and instructs him to fulfill a mysterious assignment there, he is completely upset. He has never left his neighborhood before.
