The Dream Team plot
"Four guys on a field trip to reality."
dr. Weitzman treats patients in an institution. He is convinced that all his group needs is fresh air and some time away from the facility. He gets permission to take his group to New York. However, he accidentally gets involved in a crime and he ends up in the hospital. The group is left behind in downtown New York and they are forced to save themselves in a place even crazier than the facility.

Nice comedy in which four insane from a psychiatric hospital go out for a day under supervision, but escape. It certainly won't be hilarious and the situations and the course are somewhat predictable. But partly because of the nice characters who are also filled in by a nice cast, still 3.0 stars.

Well, the Dream Team does get an unnecessarily low score. The film may not be very original, not particularly funny and perhaps a tad too long. But the film also pretends to be nothing more than just having fun and having a heart in the right place. The film does no harm and the company is nice and over the top and forms a nice whole together. They are a bunch of utility jobs together and the chemistry is just palpable.
Furthermore, all typically 80s and that decade is characterized by this type of comedies.
I also rarely expect to watch a new comedy classic with these kinds of films and with that attitude you can't go wrong with this one.

Better than I expected. Four psychiatric patients are on the loose in New York after their supervisor accidentally ends up in the clinic during a day out. Let the fun begin. The crime plot wasn't exactly successful and I could safely get out of it as far as I'm concerned. The best part of the film were some of the situations with the nutcases on duty, such as the nudist religion buff who begins stripping during a gospel mass and the foursome who "John Doe" [/i] spoiler] visit (their companion) and introduce themselves as the Doe family . Stand-up comedian Keaton mainly focuses on the dialogues. He's also the only one who still seems a bit normal. Yes, nice to put on once, there was laughter in it and partly because of that it was not disappointing. thick 3*
