The Butler's Dilemma plot

Rodney Playfair is persuaded to pose as a butler named Chapman. In return, his gambling debts will be forgiven. Rodney will "play" the butler in an attempt to persuade his friend Carmichael to have a gambling party at home while his family is away. But he's not the only one pretending to be someone else.
