"IT'S M-G-M's LOVE-HAPPY, YOUTHFUL MUSICAL!"

Dobie Gillis goes to Grainbelt University with the idea of having fun and hitting on women. In particular, he is attracted to fellow student Pansy Hammer, who, however, is only focused on her studies. After some time, however, a relationship blossoms between the two, but Pansy's father, who thinks Gillis is just a good-for-nothing, tries to drive the couple apart.
