The Affair of Susan plot
"Oh Knight of Nights! Oh Daze of Day!"
One Saturday, the women who work in the candy factory talk about the appointments they have planned that afternoon. Only Susan Todd does not participate in the conversations. She claims to have no interest in men. At the same time, the men at a nearby car factory are talking about women and teasing Dudley Stone, who seems only interested in his invention of a new taillight. At the end of the day, both Susan and Dudley go home alone. Susan returns to her goldfish and Dudley to his invention. But Susan has had enough of being alone and decides to change her life.
