You have to love it and be in the mood for it, I think. In that case, TerrorVision does offer some delightful nonsense. The Puttermans, for example. A colorful and partly swinging group housed in a colorful residence. The interior alone is worth its weight in gold. They have a Pleasure Dome. Grampa's room is a military barracks. There's something wrong with every member of the family. Idiotic characters who chatter away inanely and eventually encounter a ridiculous monster. And that's still pretty funny, although it gradually loses its edge. The better jokes and ideas are clearly in the first half of the film, but all in all, it's not that bad.

Awesome Creature Feature Comedy Horror with a Brutal but funny monster!

The whole film feels like a children's movie, but that's precisely what gives it its charm. Chad Allen's (Sherman) acting is good, but the same can't be said for the rest of the cast, though it's not detrimental.

Wonderfully typical 80s movie!

There isn't much gore, but thankfully the film does offer plenty of bizarre moments to look forward to!

It's noticeable that they really put in some effort with the monster, because what a piece of disgusting art that beast is!

Entertaining video!

From television to Terrorvision proves to be a small step in this film, and simultaneously a giant leap for humanity. Anyway, there are good films, bad films, and everything in between. Then there are films that are (unintentionally) so bad that they become enjoyable again. And then there are films deliberately made with low standards to be considered good/cult. Terrorvision falls into the latter category. The cardboard characters, the crazy scenario, the bizarre situations (two swinging couples are eaten by an alien monster)… it's all over the place. Yet, there's plenty to entertain in Terrorvision. It's occasionally funny, and if it's not really funny, it's always so over-the-top that it's amusing. Terrorvision is clearly also conceived as a comedy because the tension is virtually zero. All scenes take place in full light, even the night scenes. Still, a remarkable film.

The film was made by Full Moon Entertainment, which resembled a family business in the 1980s. Besides producer Charles Band, his father, Albert Band (producer), and brother, Richard Band (composer), are also on board. Richard Band's score is impressive. It's a mix of orchestral and electronic music with hints of 1960s sci-fi. He wrote some impressive music that's unknown because he's been stuck in horror and genre films for decades.
