Tel Aviv on Fire plot
Charming 30-year-old Palestinian Salam works on the crew of the popular Palestinian soap opera Tel Aviv on Fire, which is produced in Ramallah. Every day, Salam has to go through an Israeli checkpoint to get to work in the studio. He meets the commander there, Assi, whose wife is a big fan of the show. To impress his wife, Assi gets involved in writing the show. This also works well for Salam, because he quickly gets a promotion. But Assi's writings soon begin to clash with those of the soap opera's financiers.
