Stocks and Blondes plot

Tom Greene, a brash stockbroker, is fired from his job just as he and his sweetheart, Patsy, are putting down the first down payment on what is to be their honeymoon cottage. Patsy, a dancer at the Kit Kat Club, is introduced that evening to Powers, Tom's former boss, and gets some inside information about a stock deal. The next day, Tom receives a note from a law firm authorizing him to buy and sell a certain stock at a certain price on behalf of an unknown client, Patsy. By doing so, Tom jeopardizes his relationship with Patsy.
