The manager of an Italian restaurant chain gets the chance to immerse himself in Italy as part of a job. She stays in a beautiful residence just outside Florence and meets the rich and charming restaurant owner. She herself envisioned a romantic getaway, but her trip turned out to be a real disaster.

Ten "random" executives from an American restaurant chain are invited on a trip to Italy for what should be a week of culture, good food and personal development. The food is nothing, nobody is allowed to leave the hotel and it doesn't come from personal development either. So why did they fly to Italy? That is the question that the film, nicely developed, tells.
Most of the actors play well and are suitable for their role and the character they play in this film, with the exception of Fred Armisen. Normally strange characters are written on his body, but this one didn't quite come out for me. Allison Brie and Zach Woods surprise me the most, because the first turns out to be good at displaying subtle emotion and the second can therefore also play a sympathetic character. Furthermore, mister charmer seems naturally born for his role.
The plot is very good from the beginning to about three quarters and then it is a bit messy and somewhat weakly handled. It is striking how disgusting most of the characters are and behave, which I personally love to see and I think is ultimately the point the film wants to make: better stay away from some disgusting people.

Reasonable film in which she makes a trip abroad because of an invitation through her work. The whole lacks a bit of direction, but on the other hand, the course is not easy to predict. There is plenty going on and there is certainly something to laugh about here and there. Entertaining characters and a fun cast contribute to this.
