The famous theater actor Dr. Hans Pfeiffer (Heinz Rühmann) is working on a new play about schools, and wants to collect his old gymnasium stuff for this. But when he arrives at the gymnasium, they mistake him for his annoying brother Erich, who is truant there as a student, and so Hans instead of Erich has to stay in detention for five hours.
