Neil is an introverted high school freshman. His main outlet is the erotic stories he writes about Vanguard, the muscular, galaxy hero from a popular science fiction franchise. When his stories are exposed in class, Neil is humiliated, but the fearless Julia rushes to his aid. She also writes fanfiction and urges his stories to be published on an "adult" forum. They soon get the attention of Denis, the moderator of the forum.
