I can't remember a Kate Hudson movie ever pulling me to the edge of my seat. This boring nothing has changed that.

Subtle, but with the occasional moment of genius in between, and that turns the film into a wonderful journey of discovery instead of a somewhat boring, babbling elitist nonsense, although with all that kind of imagery you have to wonder what exactly you are getting into. comes.

Michael Shannon plays the role of his life - at least, I can't think of one where he is better suited, more convincing is more than just playing a role. Very clever, if you consider that he is not himself in the story but plays a role.

Nice to see Hudson and Johnson drop by again. And Zach Braff, what happened to that - became a caricature of himself. Unrecognizable in the film too.

The ending is also very nice. I didn't see it coming, so I'll leave it at that.

In 2014, writer and director Michael Maren heard none other than Chris Belden read from his novel "Shriver" at a bookstore in Massachusetts. This eventually led to the script for "A Little White Lie." Shriver was filmed on the campus of the University of Redlands in California. Filming originally began in February 2020, but was halted in mid-March of that year due to COVID. Filming resumed over a year later, and wrapped in April 2021.

Not the best film of its kind. The actors and actresses caught my attention, but the humor was hard to find. At many moments predictable, bland and not that interesting.
