Shang Hai Zhi Yen plot
Shanghai, 1937. A young man soon to be enlisted meets a young woman under a bridge during a Japanese air raid. They agree to visit each other again after the war, but they do not know each other's name and face. Ten years later, the woman, now a singer in a nightclub, takes a naive girl from the countryside under her wing. The girl falls in love with the aspiring songwriter from the floor above, who, unbeknownst to the singer, turns out to be the young man she met under the bridge at the time.
