Rooney plot
Rooney is a handsome, but anything but ambitious, Irish worker. The countrywives want him to marry their daughters or nieces, but Rooney isn't interested. He is friends with his elderly neighbor, who is confined to bed. Rooney visits him regularly when he needs advice, but wants nothing to do with the man's bickering relatives.
