"Gay Beginnings of the End of the World"
Quadriptych of short films by Roberto Rossellini, Jean-Luc Godard, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Ugo Gregoretti. Each part is ushered in by a Bible quote. Rossellini's film, 'Illibatezza' (Virginity), tells the story of a beautiful flight attendant who is courted against her will by an American businessman on a flight to Bangkok. Godard's 'Il Nuovo Mondo' (The New World) follows a couple who split up after an atomic disaster in Paris. Pasolini's 'La Ricotta' (Ricotta Cheese) is about a film crew shooting, in a very poor suburb, for a film about the Passion of Christ. Gregoretti's 'Il Polo Ruspante' (The Free Range Chicken) alternates between a speech by an advertising/marketing manager and a family taking a day trip by car.
