Queen of Hearts plot
A large family lives in appalling conditions in a shabby Italian neighborhood in London. The father of the family, consisting of the parents, two boys and two girls, has a serious gambling addiction and the entire family is weighed down by his enormous debts. Unfortunately, this is not the only problem. The youngest girl becomes pregnant by a boy she is not married to. The eldest girl flees the parental home to get married and when one of the sons becomes a bailiff, the other son tries to get things back in order.
