Québexit plot

After a referendum, the province of Québec declares its independence. A checkpoint is promptly set up at the transition between Québec and the province of New Brunswick, guarded by soldiers from Québec's newly established army. Canadian soldiers and two Cree women, who regularly pass through the crossing, dispute the legality of the new border post.

Political satire about the separation of Québec from the rest of Canada, which is materialized by the establishment of a border post in the middle of nowhere. Soldiers on both sides of that checkpoint come into conflict with each other. To increase the festivity, representatives of the Cree (the original inhabitants) also join in their party. The film has a handful of funny moments, but overall it's hardly worth watching.
