Poolman plot
"Los Angeles has a new hero."
Darren Barrenman is an unlucky dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days guarding an apartment complex pool in sunny Los Angeles. He also enjoys attending city council meetings with his neighbors Jack and Diane. When Barrenman discovers the biggest water heist in Los Angeles history, he forms uneasy alliances with a beautiful femme fatale while following every lead he can find on corrupt city officials, burnt-out Hollywood types and mysterious benefactors. And all to protect his precious Los Angeles.

Bad.
Totally failed Big Lebowski-esque nonsense. Director and lead actor Chris Pine tries, but fails spectacularly at being funny. The result is a painful viewing experience, a chaotic mess of wanting to but not being able to. Surprisingly bad.
