Padmini plot

Rameshan, 34, a university lecturer and part-time poet, sees his life grind to a halt when his wife elopes with her lover on their first wedding night. This makes him the butt of jokes. After two years, Rameshan meets the teacher Padmini who comes to work in his college. They soon develop a relationship, but they realize that Rameshan is still legally married. With the help of lawyer Sreedevi, a friend of Padmini, they try to track down Rameshan's ex-wife and get her divorced from Rameshan.
