Two stories. The first story tells of Kyung Ja's fight for a role in a Japanese film. Taking the Japanese name Yuko Aoyama, she works hard to send her cousin to the United States for expensive treatment. The second story is about her father, who was supposed to enlist, but ran off because otherwise he would probably die anyway.
