O Império do Desejo plot
Widow Sandra travels to her secluded beach house to chase away squatters. Along the way, she gives a hippie couple a lift, who she eventually asks to become the caretaker of the beach house. With the help of the shady lawyer Doctor Carvalho, she manages to get the squatters away. When Sandra's friend arrives, the story takes an erotic turn. At the same time, Sandra is terrified by stories of a local 'vengeance angel' targeting uncivilized freeloaders - a violent contrast to the euphoric mood.
