At times a very nice low budget film.
David Carradine is doing very well and portrays his character in a wonderful way, the story remains fun to follow, especially because of the nice documentary pieces, which are very humorous. Especially the mother and those three hicks are great. the acting is not of a very high level and the story does not captivate the entire playing time. Still nice to have seen it once.

Also a guess based on the name David Carradine and you never know what kind of rare cult film you may have stumbled upon. The cover, the grade average and the synopsis already predicted bad things, something that sometimes works in favor of a film, in this case marginally. Other than the genre this film is classified under, I think this is more of a horror comedy than the thriller or horror film it is said to be.
An agent with special abilities is sent to apprehend a serial killer who is running amok in a certain region. At the same time we follow a character, including in his home and work situation, of which it is almost certain that he is the murderer. Reasonable is at least the sometimes gritty style that should give the whole a docu style. There is also humor. Carradine sometimes can't come across as a bigger bum in his role as Dehoven, especially when he puts Willie in the picture or attacks, for example. Then the scene at Eddy's house with the frying pan can still be called humorous.
The overacting of the couple Glenn and Marie is terrible. Although pleasing to the eye, Missy Atwood is an irritation to the ear with her presence and intonation. And so the film is bursting with bizarre characters and dialogues, but where the film actually wants to go with the early death of Dehoven and the duel between murderers Glenn and Willie is a mystery to me because a lot with the title nor the synopsis has it any more. The film therefore wobbles on a tightrope between occasionally funny and actually quite bad. Still, the film wasn't even as bad as expected, even though it doesn't even contain a small failing mark.

I bought this movie on DVD a long time ago and watched it many times. He has a certain charm, it's a creative parody of serial killer stories where all the characters are very nice. Everyone has a quirk, but you can also expect this from family and friends of a serial killer. There are some really genius finds in it like the killer's favorite drink. And you're going to wonder who's crazier? The killer or the hunter (Carradine's genius role).
And then there is also a genius twist somewhere in the film that reverses the entire perspective. But I'm not going to say anything about that. If you have a chance to see this I would definitely do it.
