My Father Is Coming plot

Vicky is of German descent and lives in New York. She works as a waitress but aspires to a career as an actress. However, she has little luck and to make matters worse, her father from Bavaria suddenly appears on the doorstep, who lives under the delusion that his daughter is happily married and already famous. Not to disappoint him, Vicky asks her gay roommate Ben to play husband. Her father Hans is initially horrified by the free-spirited sexual identities in New York, but then becomes captivated by their adventurous sides.
