Owen Waterbury, a bestselling author, hires aspiring writer Stephanie Gaylord as his last secretary. Her enthusiasm soon ends when she finds herself having to work at his home and has to deal with a constant stream of eccentric visitors and the clumsy roommate Ronnie. And then Stephanie also finds out what Waterbury's idea of working is all about. He is more interested in blond ladies than in books. She leaves, but to get her back, Waterbury decides to marry her. But, is he losing his wild hair? And can she make him change?
