Formula 1 racing driver Andreas von Dörr has had an accident and is transported to Switzerland to recover. In Switzerland, Andreas meets the Argentine millionaire Joan de Portago and falls in love with her. When Andreas has recovered from his injuries, he returns to his wife Garda in Munich. Garda has refurbished their new home and started a career as a photographer. Andreas confesses his love affair with Joan, but he learns that Garda is having an affair with another man. But is Garda's statement reliable?
