Ironically, Siggi, the son of the minister of education, fails his final exams. That is why he has to continue his studies in a rural boarding school during the summer holidays, instead of playing jazz music composed himself with his friends. But friend Inge has the solution: the whole clique just goes to Traunsee Castle, where her sympathetic, music-loving uncle Emmonnet runs his own boys' boarding school. Siggi can continue his studies there and also make music into the bargain, but that is without the personal assistant of the minister of education.
