Mountain Moonlight plot
A cyclone destroys the Weaver family farm, leaving only the old stone chimney. When the chimney is broken down for building supplies, an old metal box is found inside containing a dated pledge, dated December 15, 1777, stating that one of their ancestors loaned $50,000 to the US government. The residents of the borough are raising money to send the Weavers to Washington, D.C., to try and reclaim the money.
