Mi Gran Noche plot
Jose is an unemployed man who is hired as an extra on a New Year's Eve show filmed in mid-August on the outskirts of Madrid. Several hundred people like him live locked up for a week and a half pretending to enjoy themselves, laugh, celebrate, when in reality they are moaning under the leaden heat. Alphonso, the charismatic singer, does everything he can to make his role on the show as important as possible, while Adanne, a young Latino singer, is harassed by fans who want to blackmail him. Meanwhile, a growing hatred develops between the presenters who compete for the attention of the producer, who in turn fights the possible closure of the station he works for. While there is laughter and applause, no one expects Alphonso's life to be in danger. Can this good man survive in such a crazy world?
